INDICATOR PHRASING: Number of people trained in peacebuilding

What is its purpose?

To track the number of people (termed beneficiaries) that have completed peacebuilding training within the community. This will include those that have taken part in some form of community conflict transformation dialogue process or series of community peacebuilding workshops.

How to Collect and Analyse the Required Data

A simple count of participants. Watch out for double counting. If someone attends different trainings or dialogues such as a conflict transformation course and then a transforming masculinities course they may be counted twice but if they attend two conflict transformation courses they should only be counted once

Disaggregate by

Gender and age group as standard although additional social identity markers such as faith group, denomination, tribe or ethnicity may also be used.

Important Comments

This does not include those that have been trained as the facilitators. These individuals are termed 'activists' and should be counted using the 'activists trained' indicator.
