Indicator Phrasing

INDICATOR PHRASING: Number of people that are active members of a peacebuilding, gender, SGBV or advocacy network

What is its purpose?

To assess the size and reach of a thematic network such as a peacebuilding or gender network as a means of assessing its utility as a means of support for the individual champions, facilitators or coordinators

How to Collect and Analyse the Required Data

Each peacebuilding network will have had a list of its members made at the time that it was created.  A review of the social media network can then be used to see those that are still actively communicating with each other via the network.  This can be supplemented by informal surveys or catch ups with network members, email or other communication means.

Disaggregate by

Gender and age group, additional social identiity markers can also be used as required.

Important Comments

To be considered active members of the network there should be some evidence of peacebuilding or related thematic activity and of engagement with other members. Engagement with the PB (or other thematic) community platform can also be used to identify which members are active.
