Indicator Phrasing

INDICATOR PHRASING: % of people in the project area who have worked collaboratively across divided groups on a community project within the last 12 months

What is its purpose?

To establish the level of interaction between groups within a community. This is used specifically to monitor interaction between groups that are normally in conflict with each other or that have a history of conflict that limits trust and engagement between them.

How to Collect and Analyse the Required Data

This is generally collected through a survey, however subjective assessments can also be made on visits to the location (including during transect walks) to observe levels of interaction - this is of course only feasible if the distinction between groups can be seen easily as for example in terms of clothing.

Disaggregate by

Gender, age group and location as standard but depending on the context other social identity markers such as faith group, denomination, level of education etc. can also be added.
