Indicator Phrasing

INDICATOR PHRASING: Number of communities where people have experienced reduced levels of discrimination

What is its purpose?

To demonstrate the perceived overall improvement in the situation by assessing the breadth of change within and across different geographic areas

How to Collect and Analyse the Required Data

This is assessed through the anlaysis of data from the subordinate indicator: 'discrimination'.

Count the number of communities where there has been an improvement of at least 10% of the baseline score between baseline and endline survey results in the 'discrimination' indicator. For example if the baseline score was 40% , 10% of this would be 4% and so a score of less than 36% would suggest a significant change (reduction) in the level of discrimination in that community. The communtiy would therefore be included as a 'non-discriminting community'. if the score was more than 36% the level of change would not be significant and so the community would not be counted.

Disaggregate by

None required but you could disaggregate by province or equivalent to see whether some geographic areas are progressing better or worse than others
