In order to track and measure this indicator, you will need to have an awareness of the possible shocks and stresses in the area of intervention. An environmental screening exercise during the context assessment stage will help to gather more insight. A useful tool to use for getting this information is the NEAT+ which will guide on whether a more comprehensive environmental assessment is required. The results of the Environmental screening/assessment, will provide guidance on the design of Climate SMART technology and infrastruture and a climate resilient plan for continous monitoring and mitigation of the identified environmental risks. A water infrastructure will be considered to be climate resilience if it has conducted envirnmental screening and adopted technology guided by environmental standards and is conforming to climate informed standards.
