In order to track and measure this indicator, you will need some sort of baseline against which to measure a reduction. There must also be in place some sort of community mechanism for reporting violent incidents at water points - this may be records held by the water management structure.
Alternatively, questions could be included in a survey conducted at water points at both baseline and endline (as a minimum).

By violence I mean [define scope of violence]Care needs to be taken when asking this question - and it should be asked of the adult responsible for collecting water in the household; if a child is responsible for collecting the water, then the question should not be asked.
