Indicator Phrasing

INDICATOR PHRASING: Percentage of households who report a positive change in division of WASH related household chores

Français: Pourcentage de ménages qui signalent un changement positif dans la répartition des tâches ménagères liées au WASH

What is its purpose?

The purpose of this indicator is to measure whether the WASH project has had a positive impact on the way household chores are undertaken between men and women, and adults and children in the household

How to Collect and Analyse the Required Data

Conduct endline surveys with a representative sample of target population (no baseline survey required); collect household demographic information first, as that will define which questions need to be asked.
RECOMMENDED SURVY QUESTIONS - however these can be contextualised based on the types of household chores undertaken in your context, and may need adapting further if survey respondents are displaced
Q1 - in your household, can you indicate who was previously responsible for each of the following tasks (before the project), and who is now responsible (after the project)
Men HH members Women HH members Children HH members Shared responsibility
Before After Before After Before After Before After
Cooking
Cleaning
Laundry
Collecting water
Looking after children
Changing baby's diaper
Taking care of sick family members
